Ultrsonic Dermabrasion

Non-invasive

Regular Dermbrasion

Invasive

A heavy duty standard microdermabrasion peel can penetrate the 3 top layers of skin to cause bleeding. This is of special concern to those who carry the HIV or herpes virus as it can respectively spread the disease or cause an outbreak. It is very difficult to provide an even peel pressure and may vary with each technician and each area treated.

Due to the difficulty in controlling the pressure, many estheticians are against the use of crystal microdermabrasion because of it's abrasiveness and ability to seriously damage the epidermal layers. It can also cause trauma or infection to the skin.

Reddening, no hydratiion or equilibrate of skin

Due to the suctioning, standard crystal microdermabrasion causes reddening but does not evoke the cell renewal process, does not hydrate and does not re-equilibrate the local metabolism. Standard microdermabrasion is exclusively a surface treatment and does not provide a micro-massage for deep circulation.

Not used for pigmentary disorders

Does not penetrate deeper layer of skin to provide anti-aging or regeneration benefits.
